As Managing Director of Ravel, Tammy drives the organization to apply fresh thinking and creative problem solving to each and every project. Tammy is also an experienced qualitative researcher, interviewer and ideation facilitator. With two decades of brand strategy and communications experience, Tammy applies an “in-your-shoes” perspective to research design, execution and reporting. She has facilitated more than 1,000 discussions—including ideation sessions, focus groups, 1-1 interviews and shop-alongs, both online and in person. Prior to joining Ravel, Tammy worked in marketing communications, advertising account management and planning.
For over a decade, Jeff has given clients deep, actionable insights into the customers they serve. He has built a reputation for being able to connect with a range of audiences including moms, teens, seniors, health care professionals and business decision makers. Specializing in research that addresses emotional, personal and socially contentious topics, Jeff is adept at eliciting the true feelings of his respondents. He has overseen quantitative brand trackers, yearly qualitative longitudinal studies and conducted more than 1,000 qualitative sessions—including interviews, group sessions, ideation sessions and brainstorms.
For more than 15 years, Angela has injected creative approaches into methodology design and discussion facilitation. She has a reputation for inventive solutions that gather insights respondents can’t or won’t provide via simple questioning. Angela has conducted research across industries and around the world, including the U.S., China, Turkey, France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Canada. Having conducted over 1,000 focus groups, interviews and online bulletin boards throughout her career, Angela offers extensive experience in product design, channel strategy, brand positioning and communications. Angela graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology.
Andrea’s academic background in social science and years of research experience in the public sector drive her passion for investigation and help her to shape impactful strategies for her clients. Andrea honed her research skills as lead consultant and researcher at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, where her work led to innovative outreach programming designed to increase recreation participation. In this role, she thrived as translator between stakeholders and department scientists regarding needs, expectations and desired outcomes. Andrea has a B.A. from Carleton College in American Studies and a M.S. from the University of Minnesota in Natural Resources, Science & Management, with a focus in social science research.
Kayla’s passion for understanding human behavior took her to Madrid, Spain 7 years ago to receive her Masters in Market Research and Consumer Behavior. Since then her experience working at agencies, as well as clients has given her the empathy and determination to make insights matter.
Kayla’s known for her strong-will to make sure she delivers quality results, every time. Her detail-oriented traits and constant curiosity make sure that no stone goes unturned.
Kayla graduated from Luther College with a B.A. in Psychology and from Instituto de Empresa with a M.A. in Market Research and Consumer Behavior.
Andy brings 15 years of experience in quantitative methods and analysis, helping his clients arrive at powerful solutions through collaborative thinking and flexible problem solving. He specializes in research on satisfaction, design, usage and behavior, and segmentation. He also offers strong expertise in product development. He has also helped shape Ravel’s concept testing methodologies, focusing on efficiency and developing scoreboards that are easy to understand. Andy has a B.A. in Mathematics and Business Management from Hope College.
Since joining Ravel in 2011, Kristy’s passion for making meaningful connections with consumers has been at the core of her research philosophy. She uses quantitative methodologies to help clients answer their immediate marketing questions, while also promoting big picture thinking that will inform a brand’s long-term strategy. Kristy specializes in visual analytics that stimulate critical thinking and weave a clear and compelling story that makes it easier for clients to share results and inspire change. Kristy holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Marketing from the University of Michigan.
Lucy helps inspire clients with qualitative consumer insights to solve business problems. She focuses on modernizing innovation and renovation research methodologies, and leveraging consumer insights to give confidence in making business decisions. Her approach is to start with the consumer experience and work backwards to uncover new product innovation and business strategy. This experience and curiosity for understanding human behavior makes her a perfect fit for Ravel’s Empower People approach to market research. Lucy holds a BS in Anthropology from UC Boulder and an MA in Marketing from University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. She lives in Minneapolis, and enjoys her twin daughters, singing, dog parks, ChickLit, road biking, yoga and trying to speak Spanish.
Macie is a passionate researcher who creatively addresses client challenges for a multitude of industries. With in-depth experience in both writing and education, Macie is a quick and clever problem-solver who frames research findings and ideas legibly and artistically. Her approach to research brings out the best in participants, igniting fresh thinking that inspires powerful new strategies. Macie has a BA from University of California at Santa Barbara in Feminist Studies/Exercise Sports Science. She is also a credentialed English teacher from National University.
Kandace brings her past experience with managing projects and her passion for design to Ravel. Kandace is responsible for day-to-day communication with the project team and suppliers to ensure jobs are executed, remain on schedule and within budget. Kandace previously worked for a recording company putting her design skills to the test in creating layouts and print designs. She has produced design work that has been featured in magazines and professional publications. She uses that knowledge to build visually compelling deliverables and excels at making sure each deliverable is made with a company’s styles and needs in mind. Kandace has a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Oakwood University.
Ferrin oversees Ravel’s qualitative and quantitative presentation, making sure research and data flows smoothly and ends with a polished look. Her natural creativity and organization skills result in reports and presentations that are as inviting to read as they are clear and informative. She holds a B.A. in Communication Arts & Sciences from Michigan State University.
Jerry has more than 20 years of experience in the market research industry developing and building relationships with Fortune 1000 clients. Prior to joining Ravel, Jerry held VP sales and marketing positions with Xerox, Eastman Kodak, Jones Chemicals Inc., Energy East Inc., and Harris Interactive market research. Jerry has built a solid reputation in the industry as an experienced sales professional with a knack for identifying innovative strategies that empower clients to meet their objectives. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA.
Erin joined Ravel in March of 2020, bringing her versatile background in finance, accounting, human resources, and technology to Ravel’s operations. In her tenure, Erin has held lead administration positions in both the advertising industry and the nonprofit education sector. Erin holds a B.A. degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and an M.B.A. (Finance) from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Kristen’s innovative thinking and strong organizational skills help projects run smoothly and efficiently. She is also trained in both qualitative and quantitative research. Prior to Ravel, Kristen worked as a research specialist for Calvin College, where she specialized in database management, data visualization, ethnographic studies and focus group facilitation. She gained additional quantitative research skills working in non-profit data and evaluation management. Kristen has a B.A. B.S.W. from Calvin College in Sociology and Spanish.
Rebecca has been coordinating qualitative and quantitative projects at Ravel for more than a decade. In that time, she has developed a strong reputation as a “go-to” project coordinator for projects that are big on detail and complexity. Her never-settle attitude, attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs makes Rebecca a valuable asset on complicated research projects. Rebecca has coordinated hundreds of qualitative and quantitative research projects for Ravel. She specializes in quantitative projects, online qualitative research and embedment of video in reporting.
Ryan began his career in the market research industry 3 years ago working on consumer engagement before focusing on quantitative research with Ravel. Using his knowledge of choice-based modeling, consumer segmentation, brand/ad trackers, and price modeling, he always finds the right methodology to help his clients reach their end goal. Ryan holds a B.A. in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Steffanie joins Ravel with more than 15 years of experience in quantitative research on both the client and supplier side. She is passionate about providing clients the insights they need to make business decisions, and she has experience working with clients across a variety of industries. Steffanie specializes in customer satisfaction research, in-home user tests, concept testing, and tracking studies. She holds a B.S. degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from The University of Illinois.
Tracy has more than 10 years of experience providing client and researcher support at Ravel, which has helped her develop a knack for anticipating needs. Tracy brings her creative eye to the final deliverable, transforming research results into inviting and easier to read reports and presentations. Her dependability and attention to the details help clients and researchers feel more prepared.
Danielle has over 15 years of diverse experience in marketing, sales, accounting and event planning making her an effective Project Manager for even the most complex studies. Her attention to detail ensures that projects stay on schedule and within budgets while making certain that client goals and needs are met. Danielle has helped to expand Ravel’s recruiting methods to guarantee we find the best possible respondents. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in both Finance and Psychology from the University of Tennessee.
Connor joined Ravel in January of 2021 as its Field Manager. Along with his excitement and passion for communications, Connor brings a creative mindset that takes pride in the “treasure hunt” of finding and ensuring the right respondents for each unique project. Connor has held communication positions in both the nonprofit and corporate fields. In addition, he has worked for as a freelance writer for numerous esports organizations. Connor has a B.A. from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and is in the process of earning his M.A. in Strategic Communications from the University of Minnesota.
