After years of strong market performance, an iconic chip brand needed new ideas to inspire its creative team and spark consumer interest.

CLARITY:

Ravel set up a series of ideation sessions across the country, pitting potato chip fans against each other in a contest to showcase new ways to enjoy potato chips. The contest brought together a broad collection of competitors—each one tasked with depicting their ideas in cartoon form. Each idea was judged by a quantitative sample of potato chip eaters along a few key metrics.

IMPACT

The contest resulted in more than 100 new ideas for creative ways to enjoy potato chips—including one particularly creative idea that inspired the brand’s 2018 Super Bowl ad.
